Dr Sophia Petta, owner and director of Enlighten Dental, graduated from the University of Western Australia, with a Bachelor of Biomedicine in Medical Genetics and Molecular Medicine. She earned her doctorate from Sydney University’s Faculty of Dentistry, where she was awarded the Dental Radiology prize in Diagnostics and Pathology. Having a creative background beyond dentistry, completing formal studies in Fine Art under contemporary Artist - Astrid Dahl, Sophia has received many prizes for her artwork at various exhibits in Australia. Dr Petta has been practicing in Sydney since 2009 with a focus in aesthetic smile design using non-metal restorations. She is a board certified General Dentist caring for all of your dental needs in the most gentle manner. Sophia is enthusiastic about Dental Health having been involved in the field since 2005, learning from and working alongside several of Sydney’s top dentists. Sophia also has an amazing way of working with children and endeavours to make every visit fun and enjoyable. Sophia loves an active outdoor lifestyle. She enjoys yoga, surfing, paddle boarding, basketball, badminton, snowboarding, biking, and exploring new beaches. Sophia grew up in Fremantle on the West Coast of Australia, and now calls Sydney home. Every so often she loves to return to her heritage in gorgeous Italy.
