Dr Edward Wearne

Dentist Find welcomes Dr Edward Wearne in Meadowbrook, for all their latest dental treatments and techniques, given gently by their caring team of dentists.

One of our most popular dentists, Dr Ted graduated from the University of Queensland in 1975 with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and went on to obtain his Doctorate in Canada in 1979. Upon his return to Australia Dr Ted joined the Queensland Health Service, rising to become the Dentist in Charge of the Logan Hospital in 1990. In his role with the public service Dr Ted mentors final year dental students from UQ and Griffith in all aspects of dentistry. He lectures in prosthetic techniques at the Southbank Institute of TAFE, supervises the school dental team and undertakes dental work under general anesthetic. Dr Ted has been a part time member of our team since 1995 and most enjoys helping people gain enhanced function from their dentition. He excels treating patients who are medically compromised or who have special needs. He has a particular interest in implants and family dental care. Kind and soft spoken, Dr Ted spends his free time with his lovely wife Penny, a speech therapist, and his two sons. He enjoys swimming, surfing, gardening and tinkering with electronics.
