Brisbane pop-up restaurant Black Ox Cellars brings a paddock to plate philosophy to their degustation dinner fare. With a semi-permanent location at the historic Paddington Substation on Enoggera Terrace, Black Ox can also be found at various other venues around the city, sharing some of the best produce and seasonable, sustainable ingredients from local farmers and fishermen with their guests. Salivate over a six or eight course degustation menu with choices such as smoked Queensland jewfish with Paddington greens, or cured barramundi with star anise, lemon and cucumber, before delving into thinly sliced kangaroo with plum sauce. Enticing desserts such as grilled fruit with fermented honeycomb and Mount Tamborine rhubarb with Muscat, resemble art on a plate and will tempt any diner.
