Narrabundah Childrens Cottage

Narrabundah Children’s Cottage is a newly renovated 70 place Long Day Care Centre catering for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age, operating 50 weeks of the year from 7:45am to 5:45pm.

Our Junior Campus has 36 place and caters for children 6 weeks to 2½ years of age, while our Senior Campus caters for children 2½ years old to school age.

We are managed by Southside Community Services Inc, which is not-for-profit community organisation run by a Volunteer Board of Management.

All Educators within our services use the approved learning framework for Australia; “Being, Belonging and Becoming” to guide them in developing quality programs that support and promote each child’s learning. All Educators within each service aim to extend and enrich every individual child’s learning, providing them with opportunities to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning.

We use a lap-top to display photos, observations, menus and group experiences at the end of each day for parents to view and use individual portfolios for each child.

At the Narrabundah Children’s Cottage we provide healthy and nutritious meals which are cooked at the Centre. We provide 50% of the recommended daily intake children need. The children have three meals a day which usually incorporates a hot lunch. We have a 4 week menu cycle that changes each week enabling us to have a variety of meals on the menu.

Nappies are supplied through the centre.
