Urangan Engineering is a proudly family owned and operated steel, aluminium and stainless steel sales and repairs business, operating in Hervey Bay for more than 35 years. Our owner and manager, Rick Verbruggen, started his apprenticeship here in 1977. In 1979, his father, Jack, a toolmaker by trade, bought the business and the rest is history, as they say. Rick is still hands on with the tools, and has seen many changes, from concentrating on making farming implements, to heavy involvement with the fishing industry and of recent years in the building industry.Rick and our team are fully experienced in all areas of general welding, repairs and steel requirements for the general public and businesses alike. Small jobs, big jobs, lathe work, guillotine, benders, stainless and aluminium welding, steel welding and sales are all available.At Urangan Engineering, we carry a large range of products, and for your convenience, a rack of pre-cut steel and aluminium. If we do not have an item, we will do out best to get it for you. Situated on the quieter end of the Bay, ‘the big blue shed’ has plenty of off-street parking. Come and see us today.
